Barry is a well-respected events industry veteran with an operational hotel management career spanning more than three decades. His experience encompasses branded and independent hotels, ranging from hands-on operative roles through many years in General Management to Board level positions. Throughout his operational hotel career, Barry has enjoyed involvement in hotel new openings, business turn around and re-branding projects. Barry has been privileged to work with recognised hotel brands including Hilton, QMH, Corus, Crerar and Premier Inn as well as managing independent properties such as Stoke Rochford Hall.
Barry drives the in-person elements of Eventsplus by hosting our face to face agency visits, fam trips & exhibitions from our HQ in Glasgow. Most working weeks will find Barry travelling somewhere across the UK, visiting our venues and agency partners.
Barry is a graduate of The Robert Gordon University with Ba Hons in Hospitality
Management, a Member of The Institute of Hospitality and a Springboard Ambassador.
After failing to have enough skills to be either a professional footballer or cricketer, Martin’s next passion was food and drink. This passion saw him work at hotels in Canada and Germany, before returning to the UK to have a family and secure a job as a contract caterer before spells working with De Vere, THF and various other independent properties.
Martin spent 10 years with the UK’s first venue finding agency, Peter Rand Group, where Martin first met Kevan Holland with whom he went on to spend many years working together at Trident Hospitality Consultants, the fore runner to Eventsplus.
With almost 40 years’ experience in the conference, meetings & events world, Martin is our key agent liaison within the Eventsplus team, managing our extensive diary of agent visits & other events, managing some of our venue accounts closer to his Coventry base and ably looking after our social media presence, all in between the first love of his life, Derby County Football Club!
If Kerry were a stick of Blackpool Rock, he would have Hotel Sales printed through the middle!
Having cut his teeth in hotel sales with Posthouse Hotels back in the THF days, Kerry has gone on to hold hotel level and head Office sales roles throughout his career, most notably with LHG and Kew Green Hotels, before stepping into the world of hospitality support services with a notable tenure as Senior account Manager with Recommended Hotels, before joining the Great National Group as UK & Ireland sales Manager for it’s Revanista brand.
Eventsplus is delighted to welcome Kerry as our Account Manager, looking after venue partners in England & Wales from his Nottingham base.
Highly experienced in supporting Independent hotels & venues with online sales & digital marketing products to drive profitability, Kerry‘s areas of expertise include venue services & outsourcing support, revenue development & distribution management.
Kerry drives our new venue partner engagement and business development activities, firmly positioning Eventsplus as the UK‘s premier venue representation service.
Clare is our Key Account Manager, responsible for the recruitment & account management of our venue partners in Scotland, from her base near Edinburgh.
Clare has a depth of experience in Scottish Hospitality and the supply chain, having previously been head of trade marketing for Seafood Scotland, where she led a strategy to increase Scottish seafood sales both at home & abroad. Clare's experience includes business development, sales & marketing, international trade, CRM, SEO and social media. Clare is a Windsor Leadership alumna and a Chartered Marketer.
